U-TAP stands for Union Training Assistance Programme.

It is a form of training benefit for union members to help defray their cost of training and to encourage more to attend training for skills upgrading so that they can remain employable.

• Training benefit applicable for union members only!
• Funding assistance of up to 50% of unfunded course fees excluding GST, exam fees etc
• Capped at $250 per member per year
• Members must co-pay at least $10 of unfunded course fee

• All courses supported under NTUC-Surrogate Employers Program (SEP)
• WSQ / SPUR courses approved by WDA
• Outcome based courses that enhances members’ employability and have industry demand

• Trainee must be a union member at point of registration, throughout course duration and at point of claim.
• Courses must be supported under UTAP
• Application must be made before course start or no later than 1 year from the course end date
• UTAP must not have funded the same course twice for the individual.

Each member can apply for up to a maximum of $250 NETF per calendar year. Depending on the course training hours, you may apply for more than one course in a year
